This Sunday is Father's Day and I am excited to announce that my very good friend, Peter Rothermel, is preaching for me this weekend. Peter works with the Episcopal Diocese of SC and has been instrumental in bringing great change to local churches. His friendship has been an immeasurable blessing in my life, and I owe much of what the Lord has done in me the last few years to Peter's influence.
In addition to all of this, Peter is the newly elected chairman of our school board.
If there is any Sunday I could have him share, Father's Day would be the absolute best one. He will have a strong challenge to fathers -- and beyond that -- he will challenge everyone on how we walk beside and encourage the fathers in our lives. Please invite a friend and come prepared to recieve a strong word from the Lord.
