30 Hours of Prayer and Fasting - POST COMMENT

We have continual prayer going on for the next 30 hours and 2 services:

Friday 7-8 PM
- Good Friday, worship and communion
Saturday 5-6 PM - End of Fast, worship and prayer for the Easter Service
Both are casual. We would love for you to join us!

From now until the end of the fast, we're just going to open up the comment section to post comments, scriptures, prayers, etc. It would be especially helpful for everyone who signed up for an hour slot to post something that stood out to you during your time.

  1. We were praying in the prayer room about the Nicaragua trip ...
    I really felt strongly impressed to pray for the team to work as a body -- each a separate and necessary part. We prayed that no one would feel like they were less important (because maybe they didn't have a specific skill set) and that each team member would feel valued.

    Made us also think about the church body. Praying that each person feels empowered to walk in the gifts that they are given. (that they KNOW their gifts) and that we are surrendered to Christ as the HEAD of the church.

  2. We were praying for our church and the body of Christ using Eph 1 and Colossians 1:9-14, (about God filling us with all spritual wisdom and understanding so that we may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way). We really felt the Lord's presence as He took us through passages of Deut 28, where we repented for our activities as His people and as a nation and afterwards cried out for His mercy.

  3. Psalm 33:18-22

    18Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his steadfast love,
    19that he may deliver their soul from death
    and keep them alive in famine.

    20Our soul waits for the LORD;
    he is our help and our shield.
    21For our heart is glad in him,
    because we trust in his holy name.
    22Let your steadfast love, O LORD, be upon us,
    even as we hope in you.

    Thank you, leadership of the church, for encouraging this sweet time in the presence of the Lord.

  6. Psalm 84:1-5
    "How lovely are Your dwelling places, O Lord of hosts!
    My soul longed and even yearned for the courts of the LORD;
    My heart and my flesh sing for joy to the living God.
    The bird also has found a house,
    And the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young,
    Even Your altars, O LORD of hosts, My King and my God.
    How blessed are those who dwell in Your house!
    They are ever praising You.
    How blessed is the man whose strength is in You,
    In whose heart are the highways to Zion."

  7. I have trouble praying for long periods of time. It's hard for me to stay focused. During my time slot, I was surprised at all the different people who popped into my mind. Church member I barely know, for instance. It was interesting and exciting to see who/what the Lord would plant in my mind/reveal next.
