New series begins in two weeks

I forgot to mention this morning ...
I will be preaching a sermon on the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) this Sunday. This is the day of fasting each year that the people of Israel celebrated as a day of remembering their sin and making atonement for it through sacrifice. The days leading up to it are about reflection and repentance. (if you want to read ahead, you can read Leviticus 16) Take time this week to consider the condition of your heart and reflect on Christ's once and final sacrifice. We will talk about it Sunday.

After that, we are going to start a series on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd John. John was one of Jesus' best friends and he was writing letters to the church. So, there's lot's of great stuff to pull from this very humble man's life.

Get some rest today and enjoy the time with your family and friends!
