I shared on Sunday about how the Lord had really been convicting me about the importance of preaching the Word (see scripture below). I mentioned that Jackie and I would be in Michigan for a few weeks and that I was originally going to show some video messages. Even after Sunday, I wasn't sure who was going to be preaching this weekend ... but I knew the Lord had someone specific for us.
I am excited to announce that my friend and fellow pastor, Chris Warner, will be preaching this Sunday. Chris is the rector at St. Christopher Camp and Conference Center. He is a mighty man of God who teaches with authority and is always lead by the Spirit. The thing that I respect most about Chris is that when I talk to him, I always get the impression that he has been with Jesus.
I promise you, you don't want to miss this Sunday! Come expectant!
-- Pastor Russ
I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. -- 2 Timothy 4:1-5
